Austin, Texas

Off to Texas for Finops X, a collection of cloud efficiency and optimization talent. Shout out to Cloudwiry and the Finops Foundation for the invitation.

Westin hotel, a few blocks from the conference.  Sign in the lobby was a good laugh, and the food trucks outside looked super inviting!

Downtown has a few new buildings since I last visited.  Love the mix of old and new.

The conference was a more intimate affair, but the talent was sharp (and entertaining). AWS representing, and many familiar faces in the crowd.  Hennessey C8 parked out front as inspiration to reduce costs.

Apparently you haven't visited Austin until you've seen "the bats"

Managed to capture COTA on the way out.  Jealous of seeing so much water (outside of a bay, that is) 😭
